Individual Therapy

A space to talk about what’s actually going on.

You don’t need to have the right words, a diagnosis, or a clear idea of what you want to work on before starting therapy.

Sometimes you know exactly what’s bringing you in. Other times, you just know that something feels off, overwhelming, stuck, or harder than it needs to be.

Therapy can be a place to slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and figure out what might help.

What we might work on

People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. You might be dealing with anxiety, stress, burnout, low mood, relationship difficulties, a major life change, or patterns that you’re having a hard time changing.

You might also be doing relatively well and simply want a place to understand yourself better.

We’ll start with what matters to you.

What therapy with me looks like

My approach is collaborative, practical, and conversational.

I draw from approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy - but therapy isn’t about fitting you into a particular model.

We’ll use what is useful, leave what isn’t, and adjust as we go.

Some sessions might involve learning or practicing a specific skill. Others might be about working through something difficult, noticing patterns, considering a different perspective, or simply having somewhere to say the thing you haven’t been able to say anywhere else.

You don't have to know if therapy is right for you yet.

That’s part of what the free consultation is for.

It’s a chance for us to briefly talk about what you're looking for, answer any questions you have, and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.

There’s no obligation to book a therapy session afterward.
